Looks great but feel plastic is a little cheap / flimsy, especially for the price

Installation
Ultra-thin depth <1/2" design means you don't have to worry about stud finding or placement concerns. In fact, installation is easier if there is a stud behind the mounting location - Simply cut the hole and screw to existing wood framing. Or, if the wall opening is hollow, we include four clamping brackets that grasp wall surfaces from 1/8" to 3/4".
Or, if you'd rather not cut out the wall, then mount to the surface instead. Simply drill a hole for the charging cables, then attach the SimpliDock® using our integrated screw notches and appropriate screws. Surface mount installations remain low-profile and protrude only 1/2" from wall surface.

Installation was pretty straightforward. It is nice looking, overall. The iPad doesn't sit in quite as well as I would have hoped. It is very close to flush... but sticks out on the bottom like 2mm. You have to look pretty closely to notice it. I am happy with it overall. We replaced our thermostat location and installed this in its place (used remote sensor and run HVAC from app). Much better aesthetic upgrade, for sure. I plan on getting another one for our barn.

Look incredible
This product is way overpriced for what you get. The packaging was the highest quality part of the whole thing. The dock is very flimsy plastic and the fit and finish is not great. The back panel is quite flimsy and does not hold its position well when trying to install the iPad in the mount. Back bracket needs countersinked holes for screws to allow installation with screws into studs if necessary, otherwise the screw heads cause interference with the iPad sitting flush. Based on the quality of this product and what you get, a more reasonable price would be $30-$40, not $200!!

Simple to install. Simple to use.
Worked awesome, would recommend. The install was easy, and being only 1/2" deep there is no concern about stud locations and the potential interference. This allowed me to install it in place of a Control4 touchscreen and center it above the light switches, something not possible with the Control4 screen because of it's deep backbox.
Looks beautiful on the wall
The dock is nice, but due to its plastic build. It is overpriced. The installer said the slots that hold the anchors to the wall were not very sturdy as one broke on him. He used the other two of the threes slots on the back. It looks nice once installed, but for the price, the build could be better.

EZ to install and I thought it’d be a great addition to my smart home. Tired of carrying my tablet around. I can now control my security system, Sonos, garage doors, HVAC, and everything else that my house is connected to.
Chosen for its dimensions, I'm pleasantly surprised by the final result. A very nice product. The price is fair (except for shipping and possibly customs fees). Just one last small point: I can't seem to remove the 13" iPad Air from the stand... but no big deal, it's not necessary ;-)

The iPad should easily remove from the dock as long as you removed the "Fixed Adapter Plate" from the end of the dock behind the faceplate during installation. We ship the product with this plate installed, but you can just pull it out if you want the iPad to easily eject with a firm press. Otherwise, you can use the included suction grip to pull outward on the iPad to remove as needed if you don't need quick and easy ejection. Reach out with questions!

Totally love my SimpliDock! The installation instructions were excellent and the installation was seamless! The flush fit look is incredible and I’m thrilled with the finished product. I’ll be adding another one in our vacation home!

Installed two to replace old El land touch panels at one location and in a second location where there was nothing previous. Both installs were a breeze, the cut out was perfect sized for a seamless install. Flushed the wall looks beautiful. You know it’s a win when even the wife likes it 👍

We're rolling out iPads to each classroom in our Kids area to be used as Roster stations. I like how the SimpliDock looks AND the ability to charge/ethernet connect, eliminating the process of removing and charging.
